Activities there were being operated in a very small space they actually didn’t have enough and proper place to run their activities/business.
So there was government’s policy which was saying that people should work together in order to increase the output. So government started to educate people how they can work together (working in co-operatives) working together was a good policy and it is still a good one. After realizing that working together was a good idea they decided to create something like an Association which was called UWAGARWA.
On December 06, 2010, this UWAGARWA association was transformed into a Cooperative for the Promotion of Building Materials Traders (COPCOM) with the founding members who were estimated at around 102 members.

The government assisted them by giving them a plot in Gisozi sector where we are today. We would like to thank our government once again for always supporting the citizens. After receiving this donation of the plot, the members of COPCOM thought about how they were going to exploit this plot, this is when the idea of building multi storehouses came.
